James Martin Associates is looking for someone with the drive and ambition to manage our fleet, yard, and facilities. We are a leader in the landscaping industry, providing landscape and snowplow services to our clients for over 45 years.The Fleet Manager is responsible for the overall efficient leadership of the fleet team, and includes, but is not limited to the overseeing of the repair, maintenance, and safety of the fleet and our yard and facilities.Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise team of mechanics in day-to-day responsibilities
- Performing scheduled checks on all of the trucks & trailer vehicles as well as other landscape equipment.
- Ensure regular servicing and maintenance of all vehicles and equipment
- Responsible for all maintenance and repair for all company buildings
- Maintaining a service and maintenance record of all vehicles and trailers
- Ability to plan/budget daily, monthly and annual expenses for trucks and equipment
- Seasonal set-up of snow and landscape equipment and vehicles
- Oversee snow operations during the winter season
- Complying with all safety norms and industry regulations for all work processes
- Mechanical experience and knowledge of: equipment/fleet service repair, landscape operations, snow removal operations and facilities maintenance
- Proficient Microsoft Office computer skills – Word, Excel, Outlook
- CDL License, preferred
- 3 - 5 years of experience of working as a fleet manager
